THE SPLENDOUR OF THE MARCH The Art of the Military Band Vol 2 ROYAL MARINES SCHOOL OF MUSIC, DEAL
Compact Disc £12.00
This is volume two of this famed recording dating back to the 1960s. In addition to the fourteen marches there are three additional tracks from the celebrated 1968 Royal Tournament which featured a huge massed bands plus a 90 strong Royal Marines symphony orchestra and The Oceanaires dance band—a sight never again repeated, and we strongly suspect will never again be repeated. Recorded in the famed Nº 1 studio at Abbey Road and re-mastered by the legendary Brian Culverhouse, this is a recording that is worth buying for its historic value alone. See also volume one This CD, as does volume one gets our thorough recommendation. Playing time 59 minutes 06 seconds |
