Free concerts are held on the DEAL MEMORIAL BANDSTAND every Sunday afternoon from May until September. The annual visit of the Royal Marines Band, Portsmouth attracts an audience in excess of 4,000 people. The bandstand was built to honour the memory of eleven young Royal Marines musicians murdered by the IRA on 22nd September 1989. Click to download the programme of events in Acrobat format.
