Yet another release in conjunction with the RNLI with most titles having nautical content. Every so often a really good and special CD comes along — this is just so with this recording. Excellent tracks, excellently played. The CD is produced for the 2007 RNLI Annual General Meeting and Annual Presentation of Awards in London in May 2007 and to honour the ‘Great RNLI family’ —of lifeboat crews, their families, supporters, the thousands of fundraisers all around the UK and the RNLI permanent staff The Baritone William Shimmel, a long-time friend of the Royal Marines joins the band for two tracks and Admiral The Lord Boyce is the narrator for Goodwin’s Armada 400 suite. The two solo items are beautifully played. Totally recommended. Playing time 76 minutes 90 seconds. |
