CONCERT CLASSICS

Orchestra of the Portsmouth Division, Royal Marines and HMY Victoria and Albert
Conductor: Captain F Vivian Dunn

Compact Disc £12.00

Produced by the Royal Marines Historical Society, this is fifteen orchestral recordings made for radio but never previously released to the public. It is intended to be the first in a series of recordings made during WWII at the famous Abbey Road Studios under the direction of Captain Vivian Dunn. The tracks have been digitally ‘cleaned’ and the sound is remarkably good. The playing is excellent and the programme varied. A collector’s item and a valuable reminder of the ancestry of the present day service. See also the book ‘Fiddler on the March’ .
