ONCE A MARINE..

Royal Marines Association Concert Band
Conductor: Captain Ted Whealing

Compact Disc £12.00

This is the first recording by this newly formed (July 2006) band consisting of former Royal Marines Band musicians. Based in Eastney barracks, Portsmouth their repertoire and expertise have grown enormously to such an extend that they now regularly perform concerts all over the country.

The programme they have chosen is interesting; instead of choosing a theme they have chosen a programme indicative of the music you would hear at one of their concerts.

It would have been nice if they had checked with other recent recordings so that duplication of tracks could be avoided, and yet another rendition of Cockleshell Heroes!

Playing time 66 minutes 24 seconds
