THE MASSED BANDS

Four hundred musicians combine to present a brilliant spectacle on a grand scale demonstrating the impressive range and versatility of today’s Army Bands. The Massed Bands are conducted by Lieutenant Colonel R.G. Tomlinson BA, FTCL, ARCM, LGSM. psm. RHG/D.

A high speed marching display by the Light Infantry Salamanca Band and Buglers of the 1st Battalion, Light Infantry, carried out at their own distinctive pace and style. Directed by WO1 B.M. Taylor, Bandmaster.

THE GUARDS DIVISION

Our Guards Bands are undoubtedly among the best known military bands in the world. Over the years millions have witnessed their impeccable style and here we have the opportunity to see and hear the magnificent effect of the Massed Bands playing together. The Bands of The Coldstream, Scots, Irish and Welsh Guards are directed by Lieutenant Colonel D.E. Price psm, Director of Music Scots Guards and Senior Director of Music Guards Division.
