This is one of a set of five CDs in the HERITAGE series covering England, Ireland, Wales, Scotland and Celtic tunes.

Wales is known as “The Land Of Song” and what better way to demonstrate its musical heritage than by the glorious voices of the Morriston Orpheus and Caerphilly Male Voice Choir, together with soprano Mary Thomas accompanied by Sheila Romberg on harp? Many beautiful songs are here … “Aberystwyth”, “Cwm Rhondda” and the stirring “Ballad Of Rorke’s Drift” sung by the Cwrt-y-Gollen Junior Choir.

There are some military and brass band tracks on this CD but we have no idea who they are! If you like the sounds of a Welsh choir, you’ll love this CD.
